when i started enjoying theproducts a little bit more, and there was one bigthing that i realized. motorola is now made by lenovo, and ever since lenovo has been involved, the products have been so much better. i mean, the screen on this particular smartphone is unbelievable. the fact that it iswater-resistant is fantastic and this is a sleek lookingdevice that can hold its own.

now for a speed test, andas i've shown you how to get free tv on your televisionor your smartphone, you can click in thiswindow for more information, i am gonna use one ofthose apps that i featured, simultaneously, to loadthe exact same show with both phones hooked upto the same wi-fi connection. in a race against the iphone 6s, let's press play for bothphones at the same time and the motorola phonewithin the exact same second.

in an app load test, gonnaload the exact same app and they load really fast, both of them. in fact, the motorola really can hold its own against an iphone. the difference is, this is over $600. this is 99. on instagram, same thing. this was actually faster, amazing, that was cool. and at $99, fully unlocked

and compatible with every major carrier, the moto g4 play at 99 bucks located right under this video screen is my pick. i also love the $49 unlocked blu r1 hd. i've reviewed this in the past. the only deterrent to this phone is it only works with t-mobileand at&t, unlike the moto play, which you can use with any major carrier. almost identical in size to the $49 one,

except this $99 one justfeels a little bit more sleek and it does bring the water resistance, a slightly improved camera. dimensions-wise,weight-wise, very similar. and just to show youhow quickly this moves if i were to watch reef, whichis a horror movie, i believe. great date night film, real time, it's loading, and we are on. - the call quality on thisphone was really good,

very comparable to my apple iphone. i dunno, i'm stronglyconsidering switching. i would recommend this to people. again, coming from an apple lover. yeah, surprisingly, very good audio quality. - and while video quality was decent, photo quality, i wouldsay sub-par, but $50. alright, now for the video test. amy, i would say it'sdefinitely not an iphone

phil here with android central. we have thenew moto z droid force on verizon. this is the exclusive one for verizon and it's gotthe shatter shield. the idea is if you drop it the display is not going to break. it'snot going to crack. the phone might well quit working at some point. it does not guaranteeagainst that, because obviously you're jarring things around. it's not shock-proof, but theglass should not shatter. we're just going

motorola droid phone reviews

motorola droid phone reviews , to drop this thing and see what happens, andwe're going to keep dropping it until something happens or until it's just too damn hot anymore.so are you ready greg? i am ready. here we go. drop numero uno. that landed onthe back. it did launch google photos, so

there's that, but it totally still works.you guys on facebook, you can see that. it still works. drop number two. right on theface. i'm definitely starting to scratch up the sides of this thing, but the front isjust fine. drop number three. god, that sounded really bad. greg, i don't know to break thisto you, but it didn't break. it's still going. it is still ... yes, it's working. it's not... i'm getting some pock marks on here. it doesn't look good. i'm not going to want totake this phone home to mama after this, but it has not cracked. it's still working. theedges have been in better shape. here we go, drop number ... what am i on,four? oh, another one right on the face. i'm starting to sweat on it. that's getting alittle gross, but it still works. i definitely

have some little indentations where like tinylittle rocks have gotten into it, but- [inaudible 00:02:01]. yeah. look, the calendar still works, thebuttons all still work. no problems there. drop number five. i think we might have gottenit that time. i think we did. yep. oh, wait. i felt something. i do feel something. it'sbuzzing at me, but the screen is no longer lighting up. let me just hold down on thepower button here for second and we'll see if maybe that resurrects it. this could beit for this one. the good news is that it has worked exactly as advertised. the glassis not shattered, but the rest of the phone ... i think we just like unhooked something, because it just buzzed like it's rebooting,

but there's definitely nothing on the display,as you can see. take your time. i think that's it. we got five good dropsout of it, and look, this was drops straight on the face, not just down on the side, soit's abuse, but it went through five before it died. again, it did exactly what motorolasays it will do. it protected the screen itself. the screen has not shattered. you're not goingto want to drop this thing over and over and just be done with it, but it did not shatter.they do say it might well quit working, and in fact that's what happened, but it didn'tshatter. there you go, shatter-shield drop test onthe moto z force. facebook, see you guys later. everybody else, see you later. phone, seeyou later.

motorola cell phone reviews

what's up guys, lou here back with another video, and today it's a comparison, a versus video if you will, and possibly a bit of a guide for what you should be looking for in your upcoming smartphone. if you're hoping to spend somewhere between $300 and $400. in front of me i have two devices that are representations of that.

motorola cell phone reviews

motorola cell phone reviews , i have the oneplus 2, newly released, hotly anticipated. and i've also got the moto x play, which some of you might not have heard of yet. it might actually be called something else in the us as a verizon exclusive. here in canada it's the moto x play.

it's more about meshing two phones together that base models will retail somewhere around $300. we know that the oneplus 2 starts at $329, and i'm thinking that the moto x play will be around the same. these things are right in each other's... wheelhouse. they are, they're doing this right now. speckwise, not so much. this is where things get interesting. as much as they're both great choices in this price range, they're great choices for different reasons, so let's go ahead and get into those reasons.

starting with the oneplus 2. this is the 64 gigabyte sandstone version. i've got the cool, dbrand skin upon here, carbon fiber 2 tone. if you wanna customize your oneplus, you wanna do it in an inexpensive fashion. you should check out dbrand there, link will be down in the description. a cool looking charge brick, look at that. red, white, a nice little cable as well. but this actually brings me to one of my first points.

this one features usb c, while the x play doesn't. now, you might not think that is a major advantage because right now, there aren't many things that utilize usb c, and you'd be right. i think this depends on the individual, whether you see this as an advantage or a disadvantage. but, since this is a channel with... a heavy focus on technology, i'll give some props to oneplus for being on the cutting edge with that brand new interface, and as things become more wildly available that take advantage of it, you'll be ready for that future. moving on to the second feature that the oneplus 2 has that the moto x doesn't is a dual sim card slot,

so you can carry around two different networks with you. so next up we have the guts of the device, and this is where oneplus takes a step ahead. you've got a faster processor here as well as more ram, you can get 3 gigabytes or 4 gigabytes of ram depending on which configuration you go with. next, let's talk about the camera. while the oneplus 2 has a 13 megapixel sensor, unlike the moto x, it's capable of shooting 4k video and it's also got optical image stabilization on the rear camera. so if you're a video shooter, you're probably gonna wanna look at this device, as it has those extra capabilities.

fingerprint sensor. this one has one, and the moto x does not. if security is a big thing for you or you like the convenience of unlocking your device with your finger, you can't do that on the motorola. you can do it on the oneplus 2. lastly, exclusiveness. you have to get an invite, 'cause all these cryptic ways of... securing a oneplus 2 for yourself. but for those who actually get one there is, sort of a point of pride of like, "yeah, that's my oneplus 2. oh you don't know what it is? that's cool, just me and my oneplus 2."

you know, you walk around like it's some kind of achievement that you even got one, let alone an invite, i mean on twitter, there are giveaways for invites. there are giveaways for the opportunity to buy something. think about that real quick. so, the scarcity or at least the perception of scarcity here, is a sort of exclusive vibe when you have this phone. i'm gonna call it an advantage, but on the other side when i get to the motorola, i'm gonna turn it into a disadvantage. let's get that part started. okay, so here is the moto x play.

if you're unfamilliar with what motorola has been doing recently with their devices, they've been emphasizing a sort of pure android experience. the unadulterted version of android and i'm a fan of that. now, as mentioned before, you're looking at slightly less horsepower here in the x play. but, how about, a bigger battery. this one features a 3630 mah battery. how about quick charge, like 50% of your charge in half an hour or whatever it is. now, while this model only ships with 16 gigabytes of storage, it has expandability.

got a micro sd slot so you can go ahead and stick a 128 gigabyte card in there. a little bit more durable. at least from a water resistant standpoint, this can take a splash or two. you don't wanna dunk it like the moto g, don't go dunkin'. other items included in the box, a usb cable, as well as a power brick and a sim card tool. no fancy usb c, now this one's a tough one to evaluate. this can be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on where you stand. it's said that motorola has made major improvements to the camera here on the x. you now have a 21 megapixel sensor,

which is apparently going to be far more capable than the previous version. and this to me is an advantage, granted, camera's attributes are not all about resolution and that's it, and it's not all about megapixels. we all know that by this point in time. there's a low light sensitivity, sensor size, you've got more resolution out of this camera than the oneplus 2. nfc. or, the lack thereof on the oneplus 2 for whatever reason, it doesn't ship with nfc. it could be a deal breaker. you got nfc over here. while you're gazing at the screen here of the motorola, there's something you're gonna notice. it's not the forward-facing camera that's on every single phone,

no, it is the speakers. oh, my goodness, front-facing speakers? "lou, are you serious? there's something that we can come to expect here in 2015?" well, in some cases, yes it's actually kind of amazing that more phones don't feature forward-facing speakers. as you'd imagine if you use your phone as your primary device, your primary computing device. or even not as your primary maybe it's just a consumption device for you, while you're lying down on your couch or something. there's certainly an argument to be made that the multimedia experience is far better with forward facing sound, theoretically, it should be clearer, it should be nicer, easier to deal with, you won't cover up the ports. okay, so that brings me to my very last point.

with the oneplus 2 there's an exclusivity and air of exclusivity about it. granted this device is currently not available everywhere but once it is, it will be the kind of thing where you walk into a store, and you hand them money, and they hand you a phone back. it's gonna work like any other smartphone. you can just buy it so long as there's inventory available. so there you have it. oneplus 2, moto x play, i hope this helps you guys make a better decision when trying to figure out what phone to get next. those were the things that popped out to me when i was looking at the differences, and it's actually kind of surprising that 2 phones, in a very similar price point, actually have significantly different attributes, and reasons why you would want one over the other.

if you wanna check out the pricing and availability, i'll drop links to these two devices down in the description. thank you very much for watching. if you enjoyed this content, make sure to leave a thumbs up down below, and i'll catch you on the next episode. later guys. [outtakes](singing) lew, can you invite me to, purchase oneplus two... jack?: you're wasting valuable no-noise time. lew(singing again): lew, can you please invite me, i love the oneplus two... *laughter* ("eh" noises)

eh.

iphone tile review

oh, there's a wasp, there's a wasp. quick, open the door. bye bye, bye bye, bye bye. go, go, go, go,please. no, no, there he is. oh, he's gone.

iphone tile review

iphone tile review, right. well, that's one way to start the video. this is the itag. it's the cheapest bluetooth tracker on ebay.

you can get it in a range of different colours, different sellers are selling it for different prices but this one was â£1. you connect it to your smartphone with a freeapp called itracing available on both ios and android. once connected, you can see its location andtake pictures with it if that's something that you want to do. i mean, it's a feature, i suppose. you can also use the alert function to makethe itag beep. useful if you've got it on your keys or somethingand you can't find them.

however, this only works... that was the itag. however, this only works if the itag is withinrange of your phone - about 75 feet or 23 metres according to the manual. i wasn't expecting that. but kai, what if it's out of range? well, never fear because whenever the itagdisconnects from your phone, it automatically records its location. but how accurate is the location it reports?

well, we're gonna put it to the test in theform of a treature hunt. ant is gonna hide the thing, i'm gonna haveto find it, we'll see how accurate the location thing is. i wonder. there's your thing, bye bye. so, it's currently disconnected from the phonebecause it's probably well out of the bluetooth range but when it does disconnect it showsthe last place where it was seen. this is currently saying... i haven't got an address.

ooh, i think i know where it is. hang on, well there's a pin drop there. i don't know if that's accurate. oh, it says it's just like there. ok, come on. hang on, which way are we going? am i going the wrong way? i think i might be. well, which way did i go?

it might be up there. is it like here? is it in that bin? i wonder if there's any pokemon around here. unless it means around there. it might be around there. i can't tell if i'm going the wrong way ornot. it's really difficult. i think i am.

i feel like i shouldn't assist you at all. i don't think this is the tracker's fault,i think it's just my fault. i can't read maps. where are we going? that's the tracker, that's me. which way are we? i think we're going the wrong way. is it around here? right, we might be able to get back to theplace where it is.

i can't read this thing. might be up there. i think it's up there. i still can't tell. which way am i going? i really haven't got a clue. is it the map or do you think it's actuallythe... well, the tracker's not moving so i don'tthink it's that, i think it's just i can't read gps.

it says i should be facing about this way. maybe you're right. yeah, i think we're going the right way. oh my god, i didn't even go that way. where am i? hang on, hang on, hang on, look, mr marsh. what? think this through. okay.

you were over there next to that telephonebox. yeah. you went all the way round and then you gotup there and then you said it was over there. so, maybe it's between there and there, thatway. yeah, yeah, yeah. and you're still going the wrong way. am i? well, that says it's there. i'm the blue dot, the tracker's the red one.

is it in that cash machine over there? it's probably been nicked by now. i didn't think this would take this long. what if it was down that way? is it? maybe. is that quite far away to you? well, i mean, yeah it's not there. honestly, you couldn't be closer to it.

hello? i found it! i think it's switched off. now it's on. oh, so, it just switched itself off. maybe it switches itself off when it's notconnected after a while. yeah, but why was it still saying it was overthere? dunno. when it disconnects, it leaves a little pinon the map to show that's where it last was.

either way it didn't do a very good job. yeah, it's not very good is it?

moto x phone review

the motorola x play is one year old now butis it still worth it in 2016, hey guys it's me joshytek and today i am reviewing the motorolax play. so going over to the phone you are greetedby a 5.5 1080p screen with a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch, for some people thatsize may be quite large, but when holding the phone with one hand you can manage usingthe phone decently as the phones back is slightly

moto x phone review

moto x phone review , curved. this screen does not disappoint, yes thereis the lg g4 for around the same price which has a 2k display but in my opinion i do notthink you need a high resolution screen for a smartphone.

screen resolution would matter if you arelooking for an android tablet but you don't need a high resolution screen on a 5.5 inchdisplay. the display does get really bright and itdoes the job for outdoor conditions. going over to the top of the phone you willsee your 3.5 mm headphone jack and your sim injector to add a sim card and you can alsoexpand using a micro sd card. looking at the right side the phone you willsee your textured power button and your volume rocker. i had no problems using the power buttonsand they worked perfectly for my needs. moving to the left of the phone there isn'tanything here and at the bottom of the phone

you will have your charger port to chargeyour phone. this phone does comes with quick chargingbut however there isn't a quick charger in the box. looking around the phone there is a silvertrimming that that wraps around the outside of the phone, but this isn't metal it's plasticthat looks like a silver trim, but however when using the phone you do tend to forgetabout it. moving to the back there is a nice rubberbacking which i found to be a nice feature as i can not really worry about the phonedropping out of my hands. under the hood this phone packs a snapdragon615 with an octa core chipset clocked at 1.7ghz

with 2gb of ram. yes it may not sound amazing as flagship specsbut remember this phone was at midrange level when it got released. for gaming i have tried asphalt 8. this game is perfect for testing the gpu. the phone handles this game with a decentamount of frame rates but it does tend to get choppy at times. the graphics performance won't blow your socksoff but it will do the job. the x play is ip52 certified which means thatyou can dip this phone into water but not

fully submerge it as it's not fully waterproof. it's a nice thing to have as you don't haveto worry about it not working. for software this phone comes with android6.0 marshmallow and with android nougat coming around the corner this phone will be comfirmedto get it first as a non nexus device. for the camera this phone comes with a stunning21 megapixel camera. when taking photos you just got to be reallysteady as this phone doesn't have optical image stabilisation. you genuinely do get a great photo at theend of it. now i am going to be showing you some photosthat i have taken with the camera so you can

decide yourself. for video this phone can shoot in 1080p hd, iwill show you this video footage so you can decide for yourself. the battery on this phone is a 3630 mah batterywhich is above average in today's standards. the x play can easily last you 2 or more dayswith low to medium usage. i can get around 6 hours of on-screen timeand this was around low to medium usage of the battery life. for the speaker the x play comes with a monofront facing speaker, although it may seem

bad i mostly use my headphones to listen tomusic instead of the speaker but hey it's there if you need it. by the way this phone does come with nfc soyou can do payments or connect to a bluetooth device by using that. all in all i think the motorola x play it'sa really great phone for the price. you can get the phone from motorola for â£230pounds and if you are picking one up i do not think you would be disappointed at all. but yeah guys that's my review of motorolax play be sure to like and share this video as it really helps a lot, and i will see youin my next video and um yeah goodbye.

moto g phone review

sean from tek.gadg here. today we’rechecking out the 3rd generation moto g from motorola. previous moto g phones were reallygreat budget friendly devices, and this moto g lives up to its name. we got upgraded specs on all areas - 5 inch720p display, 13 megapixel camera with 1080p video, 4g lte support, snapdragon 410 chipset,2470 mah internal battery, and ipx7 water

moto g phone review

moto g phone review , resistance. these specs pale in comparison to some ofthe high-end phones, but you have to remember that the moto g only costs around $200 unlockedat canadian carriers. for that price, these specs are reasonable.

i don’t think i’ve seen a phone at thisprice range with ipx7 water resistance. so that’s a big deal. we still got a few weeksof summer left, so if you get the moto g and go for a dip you’ll be okay. the screen looks fine. it’s a good sizefor one-handed usage. the 720p resolution is not a hindrance at all in regular use.text seems pretty clear at reasonable distances. colours and viewing angles are all reallygood for this price range. i wish the screen was laminated to the glass, but it’s okay. performance is really good. the snapdragon410 chipset comes with 1.4 ghz quad-core cpu and adreno gpu, so that’s more than enoughto run games with smooth frame rates.

the 13 megapixel camera is definitely an improvementover the 8 megapixel camera on last year’s moto g. in normal lighting, photos come outreally good. in slightly darker lighting, the camera is a bit aggressive with auto-exposure,but that’s fine. there’s also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for all the selfie lovers. something that’s really cool is how thephone is waiting for your gestures all the time. so when you pick up the phone, it’llshow you notifications and time on a black screen. when you tilt the phone twice, itquickly launches the camera. when you chop the phone, it’ll turn on the flash light.this is a pretty smart shortcut solution. on the software side, you’ll find a mostlyvanilla android lollipop experience, which

is really great. i’m glad motorola is oneof the few companies that have realized that ugly software skins don’t really make yourdevices stand out. if your hardware is good, people are gonna like it. you can swap out the plastic back cover, ifyou want. on motorola’s website, you can see a bunch of funky colours they offer, sothat’s really neat. i really like the turquoise. battery life is quite good. i was consistentlyable to squeeze out 2 days of moderate usage. the battery life is definitely better thanthe last year’s moto g, and it’s on par with some of the flagship models from othercompanies. it comes with 8gb of internal storage, butyou can expand that with up to 32gb with microsd

cards, so that should be plenty for your medianeeds. the 8gb version comes with 1gb of ram, and16gb version comes with 2gb of ram. i think canadian carriers are only going to have 8gbversions, but i’m sure you can find the 16gb version unlocked online somewhere. for$50 more, i think the 16gb version 2gb ram will be worth it in the long run. so that’s it. 3rd generation moto g is availablenow in canada and other countries for a very affordable price. out of many budget friendlyphones that are out right now, i would highly recommend this moto g. it’s got lte, fastperformance, decent screen and camera. it’s excellent.

thanks for watching!
