the motorola x play is one year old now butis it still worth it in 2016, hey guys it's me joshytek and today i am reviewing the motorolax play. so going over to the phone you are greetedby a 5.5 1080p screen with a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch, for some people thatsize may be quite large, but when holding the phone with one hand you can manage usingthe phone decently as the phones back is slightly
moto x phone review , curved. this screen does not disappoint, yes thereis the lg g4 for around the same price which has a 2k display but in my opinion i do notthink you need a high resolution screen for a smartphone.
screen resolution would matter if you arelooking for an android tablet but you don't need a high resolution screen on a 5.5 inchdisplay. the display does get really bright and itdoes the job for outdoor conditions. going over to the top of the phone you willsee your 3.5 mm headphone jack and your sim injector to add a sim card and you can alsoexpand using a micro sd card. looking at the right side the phone you willsee your textured power button and your volume rocker. i had no problems using the power buttonsand they worked perfectly for my needs. moving to the left of the phone there isn'tanything here and at the bottom of the phone
you will have your charger port to chargeyour phone. this phone does comes with quick chargingbut however there isn't a quick charger in the box. looking around the phone there is a silvertrimming that that wraps around the outside of the phone, but this isn't metal it's plasticthat looks like a silver trim, but however when using the phone you do tend to forgetabout it. moving to the back there is a nice rubberbacking which i found to be a nice feature as i can not really worry about the phonedropping out of my hands. under the hood this phone packs a snapdragon615 with an octa core chipset clocked at 1.7ghz
with 2gb of ram. yes it may not sound amazing as flagship specsbut remember this phone was at midrange level when it got released. for gaming i have tried asphalt 8. this game is perfect for testing the gpu. the phone handles this game with a decentamount of frame rates but it does tend to get choppy at times. the graphics performance won't blow your socksoff but it will do the job. the x play is ip52 certified which means thatyou can dip this phone into water but not
fully submerge it as it's not fully waterproof. it's a nice thing to have as you don't haveto worry about it not working. for software this phone comes with android6.0 marshmallow and with android nougat coming around the corner this phone will be comfirmedto get it first as a non nexus device. for the camera this phone comes with a stunning21 megapixel camera. when taking photos you just got to be reallysteady as this phone doesn't have optical image stabilisation. you genuinely do get a great photo at theend of it. now i am going to be showing you some photosthat i have taken with the camera so you can
decide yourself. for video this phone can shoot in 1080p hd, iwill show you this video footage so you can decide for yourself. the battery on this phone is a 3630 mah batterywhich is above average in today's standards. the x play can easily last you 2 or more dayswith low to medium usage. i can get around 6 hours of on-screen timeand this was around low to medium usage of the battery life. for the speaker the x play comes with a monofront facing speaker, although it may seem
bad i mostly use my headphones to listen tomusic instead of the speaker but hey it's there if you need it. by the way this phone does come with nfc soyou can do payments or connect to a bluetooth device by using that. all in all i think the motorola x play it'sa really great phone for the price. you can get the phone from motorola for รข£230pounds and if you are picking one up i do not think you would be disappointed at all. but yeah guys that's my review of motorolax play be sure to like and share this video as it really helps a lot, and i will see youin my next video and um yeah goodbye.
