iphone 7 review video

the device half of you love and half of you love to hate, is here. a truly remarkable fact. i am sakis karpas, you are watching unboxholics and this is iphone 7 plus. i chose to present you the bigger iphone

iphone 7 review video

iphone 7 review video, since this is the one with the greatest upgrade on the camera. the package is once again exemplary. inside we find the charger along with the cable, the headset, this time with lightning and not with audio jack

and an audio jack to lightning adapter. i'm sure you've heard by now that apple decided to remove the audio jack port from the iphone. personally i don't mind to be honest. i will always have the adapter connected to my headphones and i'll be alright. of course i won't be able to hear from my wired headset while the device charges. i might be able to do that with wireless headset via bluetooth, but i think it's a mistake nonetheless. something tells me though that more brands will take this path.

iphone 7 is essentially the same in design. the device is almost identical to iphone 6 and iphone 6s, with the only major difference the camouflage of the antenna lines which made the phone uglier. i think that we all waited for a change in design after 2 years. my complaint is only targeted to the phone's refresh, because as a device it's a great one, with amazing build quality, very robust, and beautiful. especially the black matte edition i'm holding,

although it's slippery, is amazingly beautiful. on sound, both the main speaker and the call speaker are great, as was on it's predecessor. as the first iphone that lasts underwater for half an hour with ip67, i expected concessions on sound quality, but it proved me wrong. another major change is the home button. instead of a physical one, we now have a glass touchpad. you can't physically press the surface down, but in order to give you feedback it has a small vibration when you touch it, simulating the click.

the truth is it works really well. through settings you can set how intense the vibration will be. apple says that this will make usage faster and more pleasant. i'm still not sure about that. but the implementation of this idea is solid. iphone 7 plus has the same 5.5-inch full hd retina display we saw on its predecessor. apple says that this time the color gamut is greater and is now closer to cinema standards, so colors are now more accurate. i didn't see any major difference though, putting it side by side with iphone 6s plus.

there are some small details, too small to pay attention to them. to be fair, overall it's a great panel and maybe the one with the greatest color balance. samsung's super amoled may be great, but sometimes they're over-saturated and spoils realism in colors. an improvement i noticed since the very first day was the 2.900mah battery. apple says it lasts for an extra hour and that's probably true. iphones can now last a full day of heavy use. but as a fast charge mobile phone owner, i think the lack of it here is important. iphone 7 plus comes with the new ios 10.

the updated software didn't take many steps forward and instead preferred to make some much needed changes and improvements. previous iphone owners will see the changes too, but the new software shines on iphone 7 plus thanks to the new hardware. we now have apple's new a10 fusion chipset, that consists of a quad-core processor at 2.23ghz and a six-core gpu. with 3gb of ram, an extremely high amount of ram for ios requirements, the user experience is unparalleled. multitasking is ridiculously fast and the speed the apps launch and close

is not even found on the flagships of android. the phone i hold has 128gb of storage and since it doesn't support an sd card, you'll have to make due with 32gb, 128gb and 256gb editions. the big selling point of the plus model against iphone 7 is the double camera of 12mp. the one has a 28mm sensor with f/1.8 and the other 56mm sensor with f/2.8, resulting to great depth of field and a lighting fast 2x optical zoom. furthermore, you can digitally zoom up to 10x. the camera records 4k video, has optical image stabilization and handles hdr much better.

in low light conditions, even if it still lacks compared to other devices, iphone 7 plus surely performs better than 6s plus. overall, it's one of the best cameras out there without a doubt. there's also a slight improvement on the front camera from 5mp to 7mp. the 128gb iphone 7 plus costs a bit under €1.100. i know, and so do you, that all the major companies are way off on pricing. that's a fact. but i think apple overdid it this time. yes, it's an amazing device and maybe one of the best smartphones on the market. yes, user experience, ease of use, security, are also on very high level.

maybe even higher than every device out there. but... €1.100? that's all for now, i'll catch you up on unboxholics.com
