samsung smartphone reviews

- seven paragraphs in a second, man. it's true, man, cocked and loaded, ready to rip me a new one. yo, guys, jonathan here andthis is gonna be a fun one. the iphone 7 plus has beenout for a little while now.

samsung smartphone reviews

samsung smartphone reviews, it is tried, it is tested, and i think most of us could agree, it is a pretty solid smartphone. but, the galaxy s8 is here,

specifically, the galaxy s8 plus. it is big, it is beautiful, and we're about to see howthese two stack up side by side. before i jump in, for thekeyboard warrior out there in mid-stroke right now, yes,i realize the iphone 7 plus is just over six months old right now. but you gotta consider, some people may be looking to upgrade right now andsome people may be watching this exact video on theirprecious iphone 7 plus

tempted and looking tojump ship over to android. plus, at the end of theday, i'm willing to bet that most of you out there will be happy with either of these phones, especially if i were to give one away. if that's something you want to see, maybe drop a like down below and subscribe and turn on notificationsso you don't miss when that happens.

jumping into things, i amnot going to sugarcoat stuff. the galaxy s8 plus is thebetter looking smartphone. what samsung has done heregenuinely has me excited and, if i'm being honest, makes the iphone 7 plus look a little dated. the kicker here for me, and i'm sure for most ofyou out there as well, is what samsung is callingtheir infinity display. what it is, essentially,is edge-to-edge glass

that gives the middle finger to bezels and looks freaking beautiful. as far as the footprintgoes, if you look close the galaxy s8 plus is just slightly taller than the 7 plus but, surprisingly, it is more narrow, which makes it easier to hold in one hand. honestly, the craziest thing about this, regardless of how closethey are in size physically, the s8 plus is packing a 6.2inch display inside there

where the iphone 7 plus islooking kinda small at 5.5. so, those are some serious screen games. - all kinds, screen gains, oh. - now as far as within those 5.5 inches, the iphone 7 plus has aresolution of 1920 x 1080 whereas the s8 plus ispacking all kinds of pixels with a resolution of 2960 x 1440.

now, notably most of those extra pixels are coming vertically. what that's gonna do is giveyou a much taller display on the galaxy s8 plus, and that's cool, especially if you're holdingyour phone in portrait mode because you can then, essentially, stack layers on top of each other. but, if you flip thingsand watch full-screen video like this, then that's wherethe 18.5x9 aspect ratio

does get a little bit weird, specifically, you'll notice two blackbars on the side of me. while that definitelyisn't a deal-breaker, some people may be turned off by it. on the flip side, with the iphone 7 plus having a 16x9 aspectratio, those black bars are non-existent. in terms of quality, yes, the iphone 7 plus is a really solid, great-looking display

but if we're talkingwow factor, brightness, vividness, if i'm a-b-ingthe two side-by-side, i'm going with the galaxy s8 plus. now, admittedly, i am not the biggest fan of spec comparisons. but for those who gots to know, the iphone 7 plus is packingapple's a10 fusion chip, which essentially is a pairof dual-core processors, one high performance andthen one low performance,

three gigabytes of ram, and a2,900 milliamp hour battery. flipping sides to the galaxy s8 plus. it's also similar inthe sense where we see a pair of processors. but in this case, that's actually a pair of quad-core processors, 4 gigs of ram, and slightly larger 3,500milliamp hour battery. this is the point in thevideo where i explain why i'm not the biggestfan of spec comparisons

because on paper, one mightsee the eight total cores on the galaxy s8 plus and assume that it is infinitely faster and better than the four total coresin the iphone 7 plus, when that really isn't the case. even in things like synthetic benchmarks take geekbench 4, for example. the galaxy s8 plus barelybeats out the iphone 7 plus in terms of the multi-core score

and that is with double the cores. hop over to the singlecore side of things, and it's a completely different story. the iphone 7 plus actuallysmokes the galaxy s8 plus. but does that mean the iphone 7 plus is infinitely better, faster, and that you shouldsolely base your decision based on benchmarks? no way.

the point that i wantto echo and get across is that in terms of performance, both of these are really fast phones. so much, in fact, thatperformance and benchmarks should not be the sole focusof your buying decision. rather, it is the features around it that kind of bring everything together. giving you an example ofwhere specs aren't everything, what i did was take a 4k video, chop it down to 45 seconds

and then export a 720p version. the iphone 7 plus has half the cores, so, in theory, it should be slowerthan the galaxy s8 plus. but it actually exportsthe video much faster, around 15 seconds, where the galaxy s8 plus is actually over 20. now, again, this doesn't mean the iphone 7 is automatically better. if you like android, i'msure those extra six,

seven seconds aren't gonna kill you but it is a prime exampleof why you shouldn't always listen to specs, numbers, and benchmarks. as far as the cameras go,while the rear shooters are pretty similar at 12 megapixels, as far the front cameras go, there is a pretty distinctadvantage on the s8 plus. this features an eight megapixel sensor as opposed to the sevenon the iphone 7 plus.

really, beyond those megapixels, i think the galaxy s8 justsimply outperforms the iphone. what i notice most about these two shots, beyond the wider angle on the s8 plus being nicer is the dynamic range. with the s8 plus, youcan still see the clouds in the sky, whereaswith the iphone 7 plus, everything kind of gets blown out. plus, if you've ever wantedto look like a flying dog

with steam coming out of his ears and some oddly placed paws or a pair of some pretty weird sheep, like me and my buddy rich, you can only do thaton the galaxy s8 plus. - ooh. - damn, look at that face track. so, as far as the front-facing cameras go, to make things a little more interesting,

we know both phones arewater and dust resistant so i think it's only fitting that we test it out that way. first up is the galaxy s8 plus. next we have the iphone 7 plus with that sweet gold carbonfiber wrap from colorware. now, of course it is water time. first up, galaxy s8 plus.

focus, man, there we go. so, we're alive, we're working. follow things up with the iphone 7 plus, we are back in business. things are wet but bothpassed the water test. as far as quality goes, let me know with a comment down below what you think looks better. beyond just video qualityin the front-facing cameras,

if microphone and audioquality matters to you, i would say both of theseperform pretty closely. although, i'll give the slight edge to the iphone 7 plus. and shout out to these two dude for tearing it up on music. you can show 'em some love by checking out the link down below. hopping over to the rear-facing cameras.

again, both of these dofeature 12 megapixel sensors. although, the galaxys8 plus should perform a little better in lowlight with an f-stop of 1.7 compared to f/1.8 on the iphone 7 plus. one noticeable differencewith the iphone 7 plus that you are not getting with the s8 is dual lenses, whichessentially gives you two focal lengths. here's a shot on the iphone 7 plus

using the main lens at 28 millimeters and then here's a shot hoppingover to the second lens at 56 millimeters. one thing worth mentioningis the second lens on the 7 plus isn't gonna perform nearly as well as the main lens. with that second 56 millimeter lens, you're getting an f-stop of f/2.8 compared to the main 28 millimeter lens

with an f-stop of f/1.8, you are letting in much less light. another advantage with that second lens is what apple calls portrait mode, which is gonna help you get that nice, blurred out background. it's not perfect, by any means, but it's definitely a lot better than the software simulated one here

on the galaxy s8 plus. i felt like in certain shots,i preferred the s8 plus. in others, i prefer the iphone. this one in particular iswhere i prefer the iphone over the s8, specifically, one, because the sky is much nicer, and then, two, the adidastext is much clearer and easier to read on the iphone 7 plus. and shout out to rich's tri-colors.

conversely, here's anexample of where i prefer the s8 plus over the iphone 7. i think, really, it comesdown to the s8 performing much better in low light. for me, what pops outspecifically about this picture is actually the light around the sign. it's a little more natural and, overall, just a more pleasing image. flipping sides again,in these two shots here,

i prefer the iphone 7 plus. the s8 plus image is definitely sharp here but if you look closely atthe trees and the flowers, it almost becomes a little over-processed. where everything in the iphone plus just feels a little more natural. next, reiterating mypoint about low light, the galaxy s8 plus clearlytakes the cake here. really what it comes downto is, out of the box,

you're gonna get someinstantly satisfying pictures. with the s8 plus, it isbetter in low light for sure, but i think both are really solid cameras and the iphone isdefinitely gonna give you a less saturated, less sharp, and an overall more natural image. so, here we are on the iphone 7 plus and it's a pretty good low light test since we're pretty much right at sundown.

if i'm gonna guess, i'm gonna say the iphone 7 plus probably doesn't look as good out of the box as the s8 plus but the stabilization isprobably gonna be top notch. once we start to move around,we get a little closer, and it starts to pull focus, you kind of shift that way, i'm gonna give that edgeto the iphone 7 plus. here we are over on the s8 plus, not exactly sure how this looks.

rich, how's it look? - [rich] not lookingas good as the iphone. - apparently not as goodas the iphone 7 plus, but you guys let me knowwith a comment down below. - [rich] imagine it looks better and all i get is hate comments. - rich, you blind as-- so, hopping back into design. because of samsung's infinity display,

you may have noticed there is no longer a physical home button. it's actually kind ofsimilar to what we saw on the iphone 7 and 7 plus, where the best way i can describe this is if both phones were offand you press the button, nothing would happen. the difference with the galaxy s8 plus is the home button is built right in

to the freaking screen. the iphone 7 plus stillgives you some sort of a physical home button feel whereas with the galaxy s8 plus, you're actually pressing the display. so, in terms of pure tech bad-assery, yes, the s8 plus having thehome button in the display, feels super futuristic, but itdoes leave a couple problems. the first of which beingthe fingerprint reader

on the s8 plus is nowlocated, oddly, on the back. and, don't get me wrong, i don't mind fingerprintreaders on the back of the phone when it is executed properly but with the s8 plus, it's kinda weird because you really don'tknow where you're pressing. oftentimes, i kept swipingand smudging up the camera. as far as the fingerprint reader goes, i definitely prefer the iphone 7 plus.

it's easier to access,it's a little more natural, and it really makes me wish samsung would've gone the extra mileand put the fingerprint reader into their infinity display. if you hop into settings, there is actually an option where you can unlockyour phone by pressing the home button from your lock screen. the problem here, though, is there is no level of security.

again, if samsung could've incorporated the fingerprint reader here,it would've been amazing. yes, the s8 plus has an irisscanner, it has face unlock, but those still feel a littlegimmicky at this point. i really have no desire to unlock my phone with my face. moving on, we're gonnaplay a game of things i really like on the s8plus, starting with usb-c. as most of you are aware,

apple uses theirproprietary lightning cable and it really makes me wish, tim cook, please, man, move on the usb-c because if everythingwas one singular cable it would be amazing. next to that sweet usb-c port, you'll also notice on the galaxy s8 plus, there is still a headphone jack. speaking of headphones, a prettycool move samsung did here,

was to incorporate a pretty sweet pair of akg headphones in the box. these supposedly arearound a hundred bucks. if you compare these withthe lightning-based earpods which sell for 29, samsungdefinitely takes the cake here. what i do really likeabout this move, though, is is kind of puts some pressure on apple to step things up. i think the equivalent here would be

for apple to include a pairof airpods with the iphone. they clearly don't want us using cables. so, if that's the case, make it easy and give us airpods. flipping things for a second, one thing i really like about the 7 plus is the fact that itincorporates stereo speakers. that's something that galaxys8 plus does not have. ("love & war" by yellow claw)

now, i totally understand, hearing those two comparedside-by-side through video is not better than hearing them in person but i will say the galaxy s8 plus does hold it's own in terms of volume. but as far as sheer soundquality and clarity, the stereo speakers on the 7plus definitely sound better. as far as battery life, even though the iphone 7 plus

is technically a smaller capacity, whenever i've used one,i've never had a problem getting through an entire day. they're actually pretty closein terms of battery life. a couple of other cool thingswith the galaxy s8 plus is you're getting micro sd card expansion up to 256 gigabytes. beyond that is bluetooth 5.0, which is kind of coolbecause you can control

two separate bluetoothdevices independently, something you cannot doon the iphone 7 plus. you also have wireless charge on s8 plus, even though whenever ibring up wireless charging everyone freaks outbecause no one actually likes wireless charging, but you have it anyways. i'm not gonna dive too much into bixby. although, i will say i cannot stand the dedicated bixby button on the s8 plus

because every time i go topress the volume rocker, i activate bixby and-- - bixby, why you being such a (beep). - [bixby] why don't youask your little girlfriend google assistant or siri, your side chick? - also, there reallyisn't a whole lot to cover on ios versus android. each of them have theirstrengths and their weaknesses. android is gonna get youa ton more customization

and tweak-ability. and ios is gonna get you imessage. so, at the end of the day, you can see the galaxys8 plus is gonna put a ton of pressure onapple with the iphone 8. stacked up next to the iphone 7 plus, in terms of sheer technology, the galaxy s8 plus isdefinitely the cooler phone. aside from that, thank youguys very much for watching.

and about that giveaway, that is going down right now. i've teamed up with miss krystal key, we're giving away abrand new galaxy s8 plus and iphone 7 plus. for a chance to win, makesure you're subscribed here as well as her channel. if you guys cannot getenough of camera comparisons, she did a much better job than me. you can check that video out here.

go watch it now. this is jonathan and iwill catch you guys later. (beep) damn 58 strokes a minute. how many strokes a minute you do, rich? - [rich] i get up tolike a hundred something. - hundred and something?

samsung phone reviews

[intro sound] ashley : welcome to the know! i'm ashley jenkins. don't talk to microsoft about bad reviews of their video games. xbox boss phil spencer who's been giving just about

samsung phone reviews

samsung phone reviews, everybody some juicy quotes lately is calling out subpar reviews of certain games which he says are written just for clicks. look, we've been down that road before, phil.

it doesn't end well, trust us. speaking with gamespot about the reception of recent games, spencer said, "i think there's certain reviews "that are written more to get clicked on than they are" "to actually accurately reflect the quality of the game," "and that kind of bums me out." spencer was talking specifically about one review in particular of forza horizon 3. the ib times gave it 2 out of 5 stars,

while also referencing some of the general mixed reception of recore. about recore, he feels that some of the reviews were a little harsh, although he recognizes there are certain things they should've done differently with the game. considering forza horizon 3 was praised just about everywhere else, gotta let that one go, phil. just- just the one, let it go.

and maybe stay away from the gears of war 4 reviews while you're at it. pro tip. 13 years after the first game came out, we finally have official confirmation, again, that beyond good and evil 2 is real and happening. after creator michel ancel started teasing the game on social media last week, he confirmed earlier this week, that the game is indeed in pre-production. the only holdout left was ubisoft, who have now made

things facebook-official! a new update appeared on beyond good and evil's facebook page last night, confirming that ancel was producing the game alongside ubisoft's montpellier studio. interestingly enough, they didn't call it a sequel. with the concept art seemingly showing one of the first game's characters, pey'j, as a young piglet many have wondered if the new game is actually gonna be a prequel.

that may not be too exciting for some fans of the first game, but seriously, at this point, let's just take anything we can get from that universe. it's like 2008 all over again. i can't wait to see the game itself. could valve be getting more than just a slap on the wrist about counterstrike: global offensive's skin gambling? that could be the case as the us government has finally turned its attention to

newell and company. according to esports betting report, the washington state gambling commission has ordered valve to stop skin transfers by way of the steam api. the state of regulator sent this notice to valve in a very strongly worded letter, demanding that valve "take whatever actions are necessary to stop" "third party websites from" gambling through their platform or face criminal charges. as far as action goes, however, valve already did

take steps back in july to cut off api access to third party websites and head of marketing, doug lombardi, reiterated that point yesterday in a statement to pc gamer, saying "our position has not changed and so far we've sent" "cease and desist notices to over 40 sites." so you're kinda late on all fronts, washington state gambling commission, if that is your real name. it took you years to realise what the rest of the internet already knew about valve and didn't do anything until after valve had already stopped it.

you had one job! you're the gambling commission! but you're also government so i guess i can see why you work slow. just in time for the launch of gears of war 4, we've got word that more gears stories are in the works. in hollywood. that's where all games are going these days. that announcement came during a pre-release live stream of gears of war 4 this week, with both

microsoft and universal working together to bring the franchise to the big screen. as for whether or not the new movie will follow the games at all, that actually sounds fairly unlikely judging from comments made by coalition studio head, rod fergusson. speaking with variety about the just announced gears movie, fergusson said "i think you have to let the movies be the movies." "they're two different mediums and two different audiences in some cases, "

"and i think some video game movies in the past have" "failed because they tried to make a movie for gamers." so you heard that gamers? the movie's not for you. now you don't need to see it. the last wolverine picture finally has a name and a few new details. both director james mangold and star hugh jackman, who will be donning the claws for the final time, announced the movie's title; logan.

along with its official poster on social media yesterday. interestingly enough, mangold also released an image of the second page of the screenplay. that image shows wolverine's first line of the film "fuck." real surprising. and describes a scene of him taking out a gang of hoodlums, rather violently. so, yeah, they're totally planning to own that r-rating.

i guess tha-that, maybe that's what the lesson they're taking from deadpool, is that wolverine can be dark. considering that there have been some heavy rumors out there about laura kinney and x-23 the female clone of wolverine appearing in the film, many are no doubt excited about the film's poster which seems to show wolverine holding the hand of a small child.

maybe that child is x-23? i dunno. deadpool says that its his hand. remember when a guy cut it off and it was like a little baby hand? yeah. he says its his. gotta bless ryan reynolds. logan will be coming to theatres with all of its f-words and brutal bad guy slaughter on march 3rd 2017.

actually, not that far away when you think about it. could internet users soon be jailed for their dank harambe memes? i mean, like really, this is where we're at now. that is actually what one country is aiming for. the indonesian government has added new provisions to their controversial electronic information and transactions law, which was passed in 2008. the government claims this law is meant to fight cyber bullying but the recently added revisions

now include possible punishments for people posting texts, pictures, videos and memes that are used embarrass or cause fear. what constitutes an image that's embarrassing will, of course, be defined on a case-by-case basis by the indonesian government, which is leading to quite a bit of criticism over the changes. since the law was implemented, over 200 people have been prosecuted, including one woman who

criticised a hospital in an online mailing list. by the standards listed on the new version of the law, what do people even post on social media in indonesia? i thought it was all about embarrassing either yourself or someone else, or your dog for eating something you know, like what else do you do? i'll just steer clear of indonesia. yahoo has found itself in a mess of hot water this week, following a blistering report that they've secretly been

scanning customer emails for us intelligence agencies. according to reuters and a number of inside sources, yahoo implemented this custom-made tool to scan all customer emails back in 2015, in order to gather data and information for both the nsa and fbi. you'd think yahoo would've been in major damage control mode after the report dropped, but they actually didn't do all that much to try and refute it. yahoo's pr firm released a statement on behalf of yahoo yesterday. really, yahoo.

you can at least pretend to have written it yourselves. which called the article "misleading" but not false. it also very carefully said that the scanning tool mentioned in the article did not exist on their systems today. the world was probably supposed to be completely shocked by this but people sort of figured that stuff was already going on with all of our services anyways.

so with this and the recent yahoo hack, just delete your yahoo account. the world's moving on. if you thought you were safe from the menace of the exploding samsung galaxy note 7, think again. not even a recall can save you. after reports last week that one of samsung's replacement phones caught fire in china

there are reports that another one has caught fire in the united states. this time on a plane. the exploding incident happened yesterday on south west airlines flight 994 from louisville to baltimore where the galaxy note 7 caught fire in one passenger's pocket before he chucked it to the ground, where it burned through part of the floor of the aircraft. considering these two incidents have occurred with the supposedly safe and less explodier replacement phones

from samsung's unofficial recall -although, i think its been official 'official recall' now- that doesn't bode all that well for galaxy note 7 users or, you know, general public safety. what's even more worrying is that the passenger said his phone was powered down before it erupted which basically means that nobody is safe. also glad he wasn't on my flight yesterday. between clowns and galaxy note 7s,

we truly are looking at the end of times. come on, guys! those gals- those stupid fffff clown things, they're all just marketing for 'it', right? right? they are. of course they're viral marketing for 'it'. what do you guys think about the news in today's roundup and all the scary clowns? be sure to let us know in the comments.

and for future updates from every corner of the internet 'like' this video and subscribe to the know. uh, and hey, just a heads up guys, if you watch a lot of our videos on youtube as opposed to our website you may not know this but we've been doing a lot more written news for video games and tech and movies and all that sort of stuff on our website as well. so if you wanna know even more than this roundup gives you, for all those stuff that's going on, make sure

you check out theknow.tv and we got all kinds of stuff from what games are out each week, to the fact that stardew valley's 1.1 update is live. add to the fact that, oh my god, "what we do in the shadows" is getting a tv spinoff. you know the documentary that-well, mocumentary about the vampires that are all roommates in new zealand? i'm so excited.

samsung phone reviews 2016

the lg g5 features a transforming design witha slight up battery and modular functionality. in this episode i’ll bring you my full review.stay tuned. hey guys, welcome to bleeding edge tv. i’mandru edwards from gearlive.com and in this edition i’m bringing you one of the firstreviews you’ll find of the lg g5. the smartphone that’s bringing alone some friends. thelg g5 was announced a couple weeks ago at

samsung phone reviews 2016

samsung phone reviews 2016, mobile rock congress and t-mobile was niceenough to give me one in advance so i can bring you guys our full review. so, let’sget to it! the lg g5 has distinguished from its predecessorsby its aluminum chassis and focus on modularity. the lower housing which contains the batterycan be removed from the bottom of the device

and replaced by alternative add-on modulesthat provide additional functions such as a camera grip or high fidelity audio module, more on those later though. the g5 is constructed with an aluminum unibodychassis available in silver, gold, graphite and pink finishes. it’s smaller than lastyear’s model, making it feel like more comfortable version of the nexus 6p, and that’s nota bad thing. a micro dazing process was used to conceal the seams required for the antenna, which means that are not unsightly antenna bands around the rectangular protrusion housesthe camera components and on the bottom you’ll find an usb type c connector for chargingand syncing. unlike previous g models, the g5 volume buttons removed from the back ofthe device, they can now be found on the left

hand side of the device in the form of a volumerocker. the circular power button which now also contains the fingerprint reader remainson the rear. now as i mentioned the lower portion of thedevice serves as a battery tray, it can be detached to remove or replace the batteryas well as install add-on modules to add additional functionality, the battery plugs into thesemodules which is reinserted to replace the stuck battery tray. i found the g5 performanceto be excellent on the t-mobile unit that i’ve been testing, animations flow smoothly, the phone reacts immediately, and the camera is basically instantaneous, credits for thatgoes to qualcomm’s new top tier snap dragon 820 chips set, which is accompanied by 4gbof ram inside the g5, speaking of the camera,

lg now actually offers 2 of them on the back,a regular 16 megapixel camera and an additional 135 degree wide angle 8 megapixel camera, these can be used individually with a latter offering a wider more panoramic view to bettercapture grand architecture or suiting vistas, or they can work together to create some funcombinations of layering, switching between the 2 cameras is super quick, and togetherwith lg established shrinking and camera software i think is a positive change.jumping into space for a moment with the lg g5 ships with android 6.0 marshmallow, onfront you got a 5.3 inch 1440 p ips display, which equates to a 2560 by 1440 resolution.i already mentioned the qualcomm snapdragon 820 processor with 4gb of ram and the dualcameras on the rear.

on front you got an 8 megapixel camera withan f 2.0 aperture, this is all powered on the inside by a 28 hundred million power battery,by default the lg g5 ships by 32 gigabytes of internal storage which is expandable viaa micro sd up to 2 terabytes. yes, up to 2 terabytes... of course you have to wait until2 terabytes micro sd cards are available but, when they are you can use them here. one unique function of the 5.3 inch displayis the always-on mechanism and that persistently displays a clock and notifications eitherwhen the device is in standby, this allows you to see the time, dates, and importantnotifications out a glance without waking the phone, as mentioned the lg g5 ships withandroid 6.0 marshmallow, which is the latest

android operating system out of google.lg says that due to the confusion between removing shortcuts to apps and uninstall thementirely the g5 home screen does not feature an app door out of the box, instead all appsare placed on pages of the main home screen similar to what you find on ios and othercostumed android distributions, additionally the g5 also doesn’t support the androidmarshmallow adapted store feature which lets you format external storage and have it treatedas permanent internal storage. now, earlier i mentioned the modular add-onswhich lg refers to as friends, i haven’t got any opportunity to try any out yet, buthere is what you can expect... there is the lg cam plus which is a more comfortableway to take pictures, it adds a grip to the

rear of the device to incorporate physicalcamera controls, a jogger for zoom, as well as supplementary battery life.there is also the lg hi5 plus, which is a collaboration between lg and bang & olufsenwhich adds a deck, and amplifier, digital stream, digital audio support, an up sampling, and is bundled with bang & olufsen play h3 airbuds.other accessories include the lg 360 cam which allows you to capture 360 degrees photos andvideos, the lg 360 vr, which allows you to watch those 360 degrees photos and videosin a portable and light weight device that attaches to the phones usb c port, and thelg rolling bot that kindly goes around and takes 8 megapixel pictures and 10 mp videos, controls your tv, can control your air conditioning,

it can even use a leisure bot to play withyour pet, but that one won’t be out for like 5 or 6 months.all these devices are managed by the lg friends manager application on the device, which automaticallypairs and synchronizes with them for easy set up.the lg g5 and some of its friends accessories will be available globally in the beginningof april. and there you have it guys that was the lookat the new lg g5 smartphone, it will be available for purchasing early april along with someof those lg g5 friends accessories that i mentioned during the course of the review.now, if you have any questions about the lg g5 that i didn’t address in the review, feel free to leave them in the comment section

below i’ll meet you down there and if iget enough of them i’ll do a follow up 2 na video specifically addressing the thingsyou wanna know about the lg g5. i’ll leave links in the description to allthe carries that are carrying the lg g5 so you can place your orders and big shout ofthe t-mobile for sending over there the lg g5 on almost a month early so we can bringyou this review. that is it for this edition of bleeding edge tv, feel free to hit thatlike button if you like what you saw today, or if you have a problem with anything yousaw today feel free to throw thumbs out down there as well.regardless of what you choose though whether you’re new here or you’ve watches us fora while, hit that subscribe button if you

samsung edge phone review

it's this time of year when the new smartphones start appearing. samsung starts first, being one of the leading companies. galaxy s7 and s7 edge are now available in the global market for about a week now. as usual people are divided, with half saying major improvements have been made

samsung edge phone review

samsung edge phone review, and the other half saying it's nothing more than a slightly better galaxy s6. i have in my hands samsung's flagship for a week now and i will try to testify my experience in the next few minutes. i am sakis karpas, you are watching unboxholics

and this is samsung galaxy s7, the best smartphone on the planet according to samsung. for the record, i have the simple galaxy s7 but there is also galaxy s7 edge which differs in the screen size, the edge screens and the battery. both devices come in black, white, gold and silver color and in 32gb and 64gb editions of storage. today we'll take a look at the black edition, or as samsung calls it "black onyx". inside the premium package and below the phone we find the manuals,

and the sim pin, the fast charge adapter, a micro-usb cable, a premium set of headphones and for the first time, a usb adapter so you can mount a usb stick directly onto the phone. here's what samsung did with galaxy s7. on the first look you would say it's almost identical to galaxy s6. but if you take a closer look, it's more like a smaller note 5. i had that recently in my hands, it's a copy-paste on design, trust me. anybody can think of it as a good or a bad thing. i'll have a neutral point of view and i'll just say

that i like the device i'm holding a lot. build is on the highest level, it's unbelievably robust and solid and the materials used are of unmatched quality. the frame is made of matte aluminum, while the front and back are covered by the strongest glass we find in smartphones, gorilla glass 4. s7 loves curves. and i mean that. you can't find a corner even if you tried. the frame's edges, the frame itself and even where the front and back glass is connected to the frame, everything is curved.

the feeling of this in the hands is fantastic but holding it firmly is on the same levels of fantasy. i'm trying to hold it firmly in my hands for a week now. after complaints about the lack of water and dust resistance on s6, waterproofing comes back from s5 with a rating of ip68. that means that s7 can last up to 30 minutes in 1 meter of water. and without making the user to remember to close ports etc. on appearance i want to mention the smaller bump of the camera sensor, the lack of ir blaster - which i don't think anybody misses -, the improved

phone speaker performance and the move of the now double slot on the upper part. i say double because microsd card is supported finally, up to 200gb. i didn't notice any differences on the speaker with s6. it's a good, loud, crispy and with good base speaker. nothing groundbreaking, but using the rich software with the equalizer and some smart technologies, the result might come closer to every user needs. my problem is with the place samsung insists of placing the speaker, where it can be easily covered by the hand. on the home button, the fingerprint scanning speed has been improved.

i can't hide the fact though that i did have some failed attempts, in contrast with iphone 6s which was almost flawless. once we're speaking about sensors, i should mention the heart rate sensor which records everything through s health, even the oxygen level in the blood. and all this with accuracy. the 5.1'' display of s7 is a thing to fall in love with no doubt. the super amoled panel of 1440x2560 resolution with 577ppi is absolutely seductive. real black, brightness (which i think it's a bit more than s6), bold and vibrant colors and the exemplary viewing angles offer an incredible experience.

watching video, surfing the web, playing games, you simply can't get enough of it. a new feature for samsung is always-on mode where you can see the time, the date and the notifications samsung says that the battery is drained 1% per hour for this. i disabled it. the only negative in the screen for me was the sensitivity which was too much. of course this could be just me and maybe others don't mind, but since it bothers me, i should mention it. inside s7 we have samsung's exynos 8890 chipset.

there are two quad-core processors on 2.3ghz and 1.6ghz. mali-t880 is on graphics. combining these with 4gb of ram make the phone ridiculously fast. i was surprised by its speed on apps and by how easy it was managing multiple apps running simultaneously. i pushed to the limits but didn't notice any significant rise of temperature. although this isn't a watercooling system as many believe, there is a metal pipe that works more as a heat pipe since it doesn't contain any liquid and removes heat effectively.

i was pleasantly surprised also by the 3.000mah battery of s7. it's a significant increase from the 2.550mah of its predecessor, which is why the thickness of the device was increased by about one millimeter. i don't know about you, but i'm not bothered at all. i prefer having a better battery and s7 has a great battery which can easily make it through a day of regular use and sometimes lasts even for two days. of course there are battery saving modes for when you need them. fast charging and fast wireless charging is supported

and to be more accurate, it needs about 35mins to charge from 1% to 75%. galaxy s7 reached unboxholics with android 6.0.1. marshmallow's debut on samsung was smooth and i was generally satisfied. software is full of services and tweaks, offers control and continues not to bombard the user with redundant apps of samsung. if someone takes an in-depth look on settings many small diamonds will be found. samsung has done an amazing job, especially on security. that doesn't mean though that i didn't encounter small problems

which i hope to be resolved in future updates. it restarted by itself a couple of times, annoying notifications from the sdcard appear each time i reboot, i can't seem to be able to remove notification badges and some apps didn't install and i had to reboot. for now i can compromise since it's just the beginning. on the other hand, i'm not sure if we should be compromising with these kind of problems on devices of this level from major companies like samsung. i left for last another major feature of s7, the camera.

for starters, we have a 5mp camera in front with f/1.7 which performs great even in low light conditions. the sensor of the main camera might have lower resolution than its predecessor, from 16mp to 12mp, but it has many significant improvements. first of all, the dual-pixel technology that makes auto-focus lightning fast and is probably the best i've seen on a smartphone. larger pixels of 1.4î¼m in combination with f/1.7 perform admirably in low light conditions.

i don't know if it's the best camera on the market but i do know that it has the best performance in the darkness. i should also mention that there is image stabilization even on 60fps. samsung galaxy s7 is out in the greek market for a week now at €729. the ones that pre-ordered it, got samsung's gear vr for free. the high price bothers me as always and i think companies are taking advantage of early adopters. all that aside, it's one of the best smartphone in the market which is able to compete even from now, the upcoming flagships of other companies.

if you're asking me if the upgrade from s6 to s7 is worth it, the answer is no, it isn't worth it, since the improvements and upgrades from an already great device is relatively small. that's all for now, i'll catch you up on unboxholics.com

new motorola phone reviews

- today, awesome unlockedsmartphones starting at 49 bucks. (light upbeat music) hi, i'm the youtubedeal guy, matt granite. welcome to your one-stop shop for savings. i find huge deals every daywhich are always located

new motorola phone reviews

new motorola phone reviews , right under this video screen, and if you're subscribed, you have the opportunity to win anything i feature as part of a giveaway. i've given away freeipads, laptops, and today,

yes, at the end of thisvideo, if you are subscribed, you could get an unlocked free smartphone. all you need to do is have commented within the last sixmonths, and if you haven't, don't worry, there'll beample opportunities to win. now, this particular deal, a brand new, just released unlocked smartphone, where if you're a prime member, this will work with at&t,sprint, verizon, t-mobile.

really sleek moto g4 playphone, that is water resistant. brings many of the featuresof the new iphone 7. i am gonna give you a fullspeed test, show you everything. for this particular phone,it is subsidized by ads. how offensive are the ads? well, they appear on your lock screen. like in this case right here, they are advertising prime music. i don't really care that ihave an ad for prime music

because prime music isfree, so they're not really trying to get me to buy anything. there's one more place on thephone where you'll see ads and it's on the second screen. recommended deal of the day products. but for me, since i huntdeals down for a living, i actually don't mind beinginformed of daily deals, and that is as far asit goes in terms of ads. everything, very fast, fluid,

a thin, nice smartphone, and unlike the iphone, the giant battery inside is replaceable. it also has a micro sd slot soyou can expand your storage. this comes with two gigabytes of ram and a 16 gigabyte storagecapacity, which is big, and because it's expandable, awesome. you get all day battery life and the battery on thisthing is incredible. camera did very well.

this photo i took of lucy thedeal girl came out beautifully and this video of me flying the plane, also shot on this $99smartphone, you'll find out more about this as we getcloser to the holidays. now in the past, i actually haven't been that big of a fan of motorola products. i thought they actuallydeteriorated for a period of time, but lately, they've beenunbelievable, i've loved them. and i have done a little bitof research just in terms of

when i started enjoying theproducts a little bit more, and there was one bigthing that i realized. motorola is now made by lenovo, and ever since lenovo has been involved, the products have been so much better. i mean, the screen on this particular smartphone is unbelievable. the fact that it iswater-resistant is fantastic and this is a sleek lookingdevice that can hold its own.

now for a speed test, andas i've shown you how to get free tv on your televisionor your smartphone, you can click in thiswindow for more information, i am gonna use one ofthose apps that i featured, simultaneously, to loadthe exact same show with both phones hooked upto the same wi-fi connection. in a race against the iphone 6s, let's press play for bothphones at the same time and the motorola phonewithin the exact same second.

in an app load test, gonnaload the exact same app and they load really fast, both of them. in fact, the motorola really can hold its own against an iphone. the difference is, this is over $600. this is 99. on instagram, same thing. this was actually faster, amazing, that was cool. and at $99, fully unlocked

and compatible with every major carrier, the moto g4 play at 99 bucks located right under this video screen is my pick. i also love the $49 unlocked blu r1 hd. i've reviewed this in the past. the only deterrent to this phone is it only works with t-mobileand at&t, unlike the moto play, which you can use with any major carrier. almost identical in size to the $49 one,

except this $99 one justfeels a little bit more sleek and it does bring the water resistance, a slightly improved camera. dimensions-wise,weight-wise, very similar. and just to show youhow quickly this moves if i were to watch reef, whichis a horror movie, i believe. great date night film, real time, it's loading, and we are on. - the call quality on thisphone was really good,

very comparable to my apple iphone. i dunno, i'm stronglyconsidering switching. i would recommend this to people. again, coming from an apple lover. yeah, surprisingly, very good audio quality. - and while video quality was decent, photo quality, i wouldsay sub-par, but $50. alright, now for the video test. amy, i would say it'sdefinitely not an iphone

or samsung or beautiful lg quality, but really decent given the price. and today, i am giving an unlocked, upgraded, fully loaded blu phone. and a reminder, to make sure you hear your name forany upcoming giveaway, turn all of your notifications on. youtube recently updated its menu. make sure you have all checked

and a reminder that accessthe menu on your smartphone or a desktop, just click that little bell. using tubebuddy's random selection winner to find a subscriber who'scommented in the last six months. congratulations goes to carla. you got a few upgraded phone, just email support@mattsdailydeals.comfor your freebie. yes, you won, yes, you wona free smartphone, yeah. and a reminder, if youwanna win future items,
